Introduction

Plan mode is available in Visual Studio Code, JetBrains IDEs, Xcode, and Eclipse. It is not currently available in Visual Studio. Click the tabs above for instructions for your editor.

Using the plan agent

  1. If the chat view is not already displayed, select Open Chat from the Copilot Chat menu.

  2. At the bottom of the chat view, select Plan from the agents dropdown.

  3. Type a prompt that describes a task, such as adding a feature to an existing application, refactoring code, fixing a bug, or creating an initial version of a new application.

    For example: Create a simple to-do web app with HTML, CSS, and JS files.

    After a few moments, the plan agent outputs a plan in the chat view. The plan provides a high-level summary and a breakdown of steps, including any open questions for clarification.

  4. 계획을 검토하고 에이전트가 질문한 질문에 대답합니다.

    요구 사항을 명확히 하거나 범위를 조정하거나 질문에 대답하기 위해 여러 번 반복할 수 있습니다.

  5. 계획이 완료되면 다음을 수행할 수 있습니다.

    • 구현 시작을 클릭하여 Copilot Chat를 에이전트 모드로 전환하고 에이전트 세션을 시작하여 구현 계획에 따라 필요한 변경 내용을 구현합니다.
    • 편집기에서 열기를 클릭하여 Copilot Chat를 에이전트 모드로 전환하고 편집기 탭에서 구현 계획의 세부 정보와 함께 Markdown을 생성하는 에이전트 세션을 시작합니다. 계획을 직접 진행하거나 나중에 사용할 수 있도록 계획을 Markdown 파일로 저장할 수 있습니다.
